The 7th ASEAN Summit Logo

The concept of the design

Puchuk Rebung and Bunga Menjalar is one of the traditional Brunei Malay decoration usually found in the Kain Songket weavings, silverwares, wooden carvings and many more.

The design of these elements to form the logo is to project the identity of Brunei Darussalam and also to introduce the country as a nation of unexpected treasures; rich in refined Eastern culture and traditions. The formulation of the evolving logo derived from these elements promotes the conscientiousness in organising and hosting the 7th ASEAN Summit.

The Puchuk Rebung Shape (Bamboo Shoot) symbolises stability and strength of ASEAN.

The Bunga Menjalar (Winding Flower) represents the ASEAN's progress and cooperation in promoting growth and development in nations-building, economy, social and culture and so forth.

The Golden Colour symbolises mutual objectives in achieving the pinnacles of success and excellence.

The White Colour represents the initiative to honestly and faithfully steer the 7th ASEAN Summit.

The Yellow Colour represents the host nation, Brunei Darussalam .

The Blue Colour is a representation of Brunei Darussalam's peaceful and tranquil environment .
